My personal theory is that by season three (Hot Wheels IS season three, right?) the writers had pretty much established Wonder Woman was a "crimefighter." Not a spy, not a superhero, just a trouble shooter, like the A Team, or Knight Rider, or The Equalizer, or some other detective. So she gets mundane scripts Hot Wheels, Amazon Hot Wax, The Man who Wouldn't Tell, The Richest Man in the World, and worst of all Skateboard Whiz.
Some of that was the producers, some of that was Lynda and her manager, some of that was the fact that by the end of the series, "Jiggle" TV was on the way out (The Angels did not fare much better, nor did Buck Rogers) And somehow, the woman who had engaged me fully from "The New, Original Wonder Woman" was still there, but the show was no longer riveting...
